Fossil Glyptodont Scute
Fossil scute (shell section) from an ancient mammal known as a Glyptodont. This animal had a general resemblance to a turtle but it had hair and weighed over 500 lbs. Scute measures 2 inches in diameter and is in great condition. From the Bone Valley region of central Fla. Approx. 1- 3 milllion years old.
